Hi my name is Tyson Scott and I am a 2027 Goaltender from Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. I have been playing goalie for 10 years now. I play for the U17 Toronto Royals AA team. My personality on the ice is similar from off the ice. On the ice I am very focused and not very social with anyone. I am hard working for every drill trying to be better and I always have different skills that I focus on working on during practices. During games I like to get to the rink early to be prepared and ready for the game. I show up a half hour to 45 minutes before the team requires us to be at the rink. During my hockey career I have had to overcome politics, tough situations and many other scenarios most people have faced but I push through. I perservered through the tough challenges and played the way I know I can play. I am very aware of my surroundings on the ice. I have good hands, Vision, Speed, Puck Skills and what I think is my biggest asset is my rebound control. It has gotten me through to where I am today and hopefully to where I want to go. I have put lots of hard work and effort into my training and everything that goes into being an athlete.
Off the ice I come from a loving and supporting family. I have a brother who is 2029 goaltender. I live with both my parents. My dad is lost prevention security manager for Sobeys and my mom works in office for Home Depot. Both my parents and my brother have been very supportive through my journey in hockey. I also have a cat who I have been very close with since we got him. I have a dog and she can be a pain sometimes but we love her. That is where I come from but this is who I am. I focus on school and get high 80s to 90s in most of my classes. I like to have chill days when I am not always at the rink so I will watch NHL games or playing video games with my friends. The odd time I will go to watch an OHL game which here in Canada is an elite junior team league. In school I play hockey for the Maxwell Heights Mustangs on the junior team and I also play rugby varsity for school. In the summer I go to the gym three times a week and also play ball hockey so that I stay active off the ice.
My future goals are to attend a school to pursue my career in police force/ law and security or firefighting services. I also want to continue playing hockey in my post secondary education.
