Jack Staniland '21 Recruiting Profile

I am currently playing for the Haliburton County Huskies in the OJHL, and as an assistant captain I am helping lead a group of rookie junior players to a league championship.   As an overage player I feel it is my job to not only help the team win but to also bring my experience to the younger players and show them the work ethic, community involvement and character required.  I have elite skating and puck moving skills and use these skills to lead offensive rushes.  I like to think my passing is one the best in the league.  I also pride myself in my extensive work ethic, and strive to never be outworked.  I believe I can be a great addition to a D1 team looking for a hybrid offensive style defencemen.  I am D1 ready and feel I can compete at this level.  

In addition to playing hockey I am also looking to enter a Business/Entrepreneurship type course.  I have always wanted to start my own business.   

I will be playing for the Haliburton County Huskies of the Ontario Junior Hockey League for 2023-2024 season.
