Coaches:
My goal is to play NCAA hockey and to continue towards a degree while fostering my goals to play professional hockey. Things that make me a good candidate for your team, and also what makes me different from other recruits in both athletics and academics, are that I am a bigger, strong defensive forward that is very coachable. I also excel academically and before graduating in 2016, completed two years as an honors student in the International Baccalaureate Program for higher education before moving to British Columbia to join Yale's U18 Prep Team. Coaches define me as a reliable player and a positive influence on the team with outstanding defensive accountability as a forward. My school's IB Coordinator describes me as "an exceptional young man... who leads by example both as a student and global citizen." He went on to say "...His peers enthusiastically emulate him due to his attitude, work ethic, the degree to which he is respected because of his maturity...I turn to Mac regularly when recruiting for the program, because he is a shining example of many of the traits I look for in a potential IB Student..."
As well as attending and playing for the renowned Yale Hockey Academy I have played Junior hockey for the Mission City Outlaws, the Fort Erie Meteors, the Gloucester Rangers and I have spent several summers at Shattuck St. Mary's School. These experiences have led me to believe that I would be an excellent student athlete and with that have the best chance of achieving all of my personal goals.
