Personal Statement

My overall goal is to play Junior A hockey this next year and then to develop through to NCAA Div 1 hockey where I can then further my education through a college or university experience.  I have had a relentless passion for the game of hockey ever since I can remember, and that fire continues to burn within me to this day.

I am a great skater who is fast and can read the play very well while on the fly. My agility complements my ability to move the puck up ice and helps to create high percentage scoring chances. My overall ability to create offense is a huge strong suit in my game that my coaches know they can rely on me for. Whether in playmaking or scoring, I leverage these attributes to contribute dynamically to every game.

The lessons learned and refined through my time with the AAA/AA Oakville Rangers Rep teams and also with the AAA U18 & U16 Blyth Bruins (Independent Prep Hockey teams) have significantly shaped my approach, refining my skills and improving my understanding of the sport both on and off the ice.  With the Bruins I have had the opportunity to play against top tier teams from New York, Connecticut, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Massachusetts as well as Eastern Canada (Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia).

Through the years, my coaches have told me that I was one of the most coachable kids on the ice with an unrelenting work ethic.  With a strong sense of direction and determination, my desire for growth in the game has helped me to continuously improve on the ice.

Maintaining a strong academic standing through to a college or university education is crucially important to me, reflecting my commitment to a well-rounded and disciplined approach to life.

In pursuing NCAA Division 1 and/or Junior A hockey, I aim not just to fulfill a personal dream but also to represent the values of hard work, dedication, and sportsmanship. It's not solely about the victories but also about the journey, the lessons learned, and the growth achieved along the way.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
