PRESENT:
HOCKEY: For the past two years I have been a starting forward and assistant captain on the Vancouver Jr. Rangers. Something that separates me from others on and off the ice is my eagerness to learn and my adaptability. For the past two years of hockey, I have made a point to take on the role of being a leader for my teammates. It, in turn, has shown me a new way of playing hockey and being a better person, I really enjoy the leading others. A little more about my personal playing style, I love the mental & physical combination in hockey, I was given the name "The Honey Badger" by players on North Vancouver Midget team last year and I accepted that with pride.
SCHOOL: My current academic goal would be to pursue a degree in health & Physical Training while getting the opportunity to play hockey. I am currently taking a culinary management pathway at my high school and good food and physical wellness are very interesting and important to me.
WORK: I am currently a sports instructor for Tualatin Hills Parks & Rec. I span a wide variety of ages and sports. I mainly teach skateboarding to kids under 10 years old. I recently added a hockey class to my schedule where I introduce hockey to kids ages 3-6. This class has been exciting and special to be able to share something I love so much with the future generation.
FUTURE:
HOCKEY: I plan to be a smart and effective player and overall a positive influence on the team. As I grow both physically and mentally throughout my junior & college hockey career, I will strive to be a big asset to the penalty kill, power play, and even strength lineups. Most importantly, I will conduct myself with loyalty and respect on and off the ice, knowing that the way I act reflects my team, my coaches and the school I attend.
COLLEGE: As I explore the idea of being a college student I eager to find a passion for learning in subjects that both, interest me, and benefit my hockey career and beyond. It's going to be awesome to have fun with my peers and find new friendships that will hopefully last a lifetime. The most important people in my life I have met through hockey outside of my family, knowing that makes me very excited to get the chance to play college hockey.
Thank you for taking the time to read a little bit about me. I am looking forward to talking to college coaches and learning more about your school.
