Hello my name is Chase Reimel but most know me by "Gator". I started playing hockey when I was 7. What sets me apart from other players is my willingness to learn, adapt and overcome. I wanted to play hockey at a very high level from a young age. When my school closed in 4th grade, I talked to my parents about this being an opportunity for me to play Tier 1 hockey. The organization that I wanted to play for was two hours away. My parents and I decided that the best course of action would be to homeschool. Homeschooling allowed me to train on and off ice for 5 to 7 days a week. The last 4 years I have been driven to become the best student and athlete I can be. I often have to do school work on the drive, but I am still able to maintain a 3.7 gpa and complete all of my schoolwork in a timely manner. After my first year, I was selected to be the Offensive Assistant Captain. I earned this position because I am a good leader on and off the ice. I am committed to being a solid asset to any team no matter how hard I need to work. My coaches will tell you I am coachable, trainable and willing to give 110 percent even when the game is lost 10 to 1.
