Alexander Mitchell '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Alex Mitchell.  I am 18 years old and currently a senior at Southmoreland High School.  I started playing hockey at the age of four, specializing in the position of goaltender around the age of 9.  I have been lucky enough to improve my skills by working with several elite goaltender coaches over the years  including Shane Clifford, Mike Nespa and Mike Yaremko.  I have also had the opportunity to attend numerous camps offered by Mitch Korn.  From each individual goalie coaches depth of knowledge and personal instruction, coupled with  my intense passion for the position, I have  raised my game day performance  over the years.   I  was varsity starter for the Connellsville Falcons High School team in 2019 and 2020…being chosen to the PIHL All-Star team both years and earning my high school letter in 2019.    Currently I play for the Steel City Ice Renegades 18u AA team.   Personally I am a hardworking, competitive individual both on and off the ice.  I enjoy the comradely of ice hockey.   I am the person other players can come to if they would need anything on or off ice.    My long term goal is to pursue an education in physical therapy/sports medicine while further improving my playing game at a collegiate level.
