Personal Statement
I am a 20-year-old defenseman who plays for the Seahawks Hockey Club in the Eastern Hockey League (EHL).
My short-term goal is to help lead my team to a championship and continue my development at the junior level.
My ultimate goal is to earn the opportunity to play NCAA hockey while completing my education and eventually play professional hockey.
I am a very mobile, two-way, puck-moving defenseman.
With my style of play, I keep my defensive zone as clean as possible and use my speed to jump into the play and create offense.
Although defense is my first priority, I excel at making a clean crisp pass out of the zone and joining the rush as an offensive option.
My strengths include passing, defensive play, hockey IQ, and making smart reads and decisions with the puck.
I am a physical presence in the defensive and neutral zones, and extremely effective positionally.
I love to compete and am able to win 1v1 battles and move the puck in transition.
I have worked very hard on my defensive game, and use an active stick and sound positioning to break up plays and eliminate opponents.
I am consistently used to match up against the top players in the league.
I understand the importance of being a good teammate, student, and citizen, and try to always carry myself with those values in mind.
