I am a passionate and enthusiastic student athlete who is constantly looking to improve and challenge myself both physically and mentally.
I enjoy school and maintain a solid 3.0 GPA. My favorite classes are science and history but my true love is hockey. I have been playing goalie only for 5 years, but in that short time I have adapted and grown from several opportunities.
My dream is to play in the NHL but I keep that thought to myself. My father says "the big world laughs and the small world conquers their dreams." The big world laughed at people like Walt Disney, Robert Fulton, and Orville and Wilbur Wright, but these individuals had a dream and NOTHING was going to get in their way!
In the short five years of playing hockey I've grown and learned a lot about myself. The one thing I've learned more than anything is that hard work pays off! I believe anything worth doing is worth doing badly. Were all bad at most things when we start out; including myself. Its only through perseverance and hard work that we improve. Think about the first steps we take as children, we all fall and tumble, but eventually we all learn to walk. How does this happen, by falling and continuing to try. Even the great Wayne Gretzky fell as a toddler; hard work works!
