Chip Strano '20 Recruiting Profile

Thank you for taking a little bit of your time to get to know me.

I have been playing hockey for as long as I could remember. I have always had a deep passion in playing the game of hockey. Competing and developing my hockey skills have been paramount in my life.  

The things that I have learned in playing hockey and other organized sports over the years have revealed the importance of my family, friends, and teammates and the vital role they play in all my succeses along the way.  

Education is very important to me, and I have been very excited for the many opportunities that Shady Side Academy provides me now and into the future. I have learned that a well founded education will grant me more opportunities later on in my life.

My best quality in all aspects of my life is my willingness to try new things and understand the big picture as far as my personal goals along with the goals of my family, teammates and coaches alike. I can truly see the value in the team rather than the individual which I believe is one of the key facets in having a successful hockey career.

I wish to pursue a career in the sciences/engineering and to continue studies post graduate. My goal is to play hockey at the elite level for the entirety of my career.
