Ever since I was 8 I knew I wanted to play high level hockey. To me the next step is to play at the collegiate level. To do this I have worked hard in both academics and athletics and have made improvements in both in order to reach my goal. Since I live over an hour from the rink I have to carefully balance my time in order to keep my grades up. The time management skills I have accrued over this time have adapted my study and work habits to that of hectic college schedules. As far as athletics go, I and the teams I belong to have made significant improvements each year such as my team the Knoxville Junior Ice Bears winning the U18 AA USA National Championship in 2014. I pride myself on my work ethic, "coachability", and composure. Since Tennessee isn't exactly a "hotbed" for hockey I have to learn most of the techniques and details of being a goalie by myself. I think taking the harder approach now benefits me for the future and has put me ahead of the game. My passion for hockey extends past the games and practices and I work hard to improve myself day in and day out. I go by the saying, "What have I done today to improve?" and I believe my work ethic and passion for the game will ultimately lead to my success. Thank you for taking the time to consider me.
