Here's what else you should know about Alexander David Groenewold. I grew up in Bellows Falls, Vermont. During my elementary years I got started in hockey, baseball and football. I also participated in the cub scouts and boy scouts. In middle school I went out for concert band, playing three different instruments, the Baritone, Trombone and then switched to trumpet in the high school band. I've been enrolled in Honors and AP courses in high school, which are challenging for me, but they force me to work harder and study longer to get good grades. For fun I like to go camping and fishing with my family on the Connecticut River. I have had my Vermont Boating Operator's license since the age of 13.
You will find that I am a dedicated, loyal team player. I have a strong hockey sense, knowing where to be and when. I am analytical, a thinker, a reasoner. I like studying statistics and analyzing sports stats. My goals are to get a college degree in technology, engineering, or similar field and be able to play hockey at the collegiate level.
I play baseball on the high school team, where I have been the starting 2nd baseman since my freshman year. I also like to ski, play football, tennis, run, swim and other water sports.
I work at the local youth hockey program as a USA Hockey level 1 referee. I have also earned the Cal Ripkin Umpire Certificate and work as a part-time Little league umpire.
I would be a good addition to your team because I know how to challenge myself, balance multiple things at once, and because I am a hard worker who leads by example.
