Personal Statement
I am Langdon Rogers. I am a fierce competitor. I am determined to achieve all my goals. I am focused and dedicated to being a better version of myself and to helping others achieve their goals. I am compassionate, loyal and family is very important to me. I am a leader, who does not hesitate to take charge or afraid to make mistakes. I feel mistakes are a big part of the growing process and are just as valuable as success.
Since a young age, I was taught the value of work ethic, self-accountability and staying disciplined to attain your goals. Whether it is academics or athletics, I give 100% effort in everything I am doing. When I am applying myself, I don’t compare myself to others, I don’t try to be like them or be better than them. I know my full potential isn’t based on anyone or anything other than my effort. I set high standards for myself because I know I can achieve them. I truly believe everyone and myself is capable of achieving anything we set our minds on, as long as we stay focused, dedicated and have a never give up mindset.
Hockey has been my passion since I laced up my first pair of skates at 5 years old. Hockey has taught me many things about myself, teamwork and the value of comradeship. I love this game and I truly believe it is the best game on earth. When I have the opportunity to help coach younger kids I am always willing. I think it’s great to help younger players grow and to see their excitement about the game I am so passionate about.
I will play hockey at the highest level possible. I love to be pushed, challenged and grow as an individual both on and off the ice. I am someone who will give my very best to make a team, school and community better.
