Personal Statement
Whenever talking to my parents about my future in hockey, the same question always comes up. What are you trying to get out of this game? It is a good question and one that many hockey players should step back and ask themselves. I always have had a clear view of what I want from hockey. I love to play hockey, but also over the past few years, I've learned that hockey can take me places and give me opportunities I might not have without it. What I hope to get out of hockey is to continue playing the game I love and reach my goal of playing college hockey and beyond. Every year this goal seems more and more realistic, and I won't stop working until I reach that goal. What sets me apart from other goalies is my competitiveness and calmness. Great goaltenders have to be cool, calm and collected, and I believe I have these tools and give my team confidence because of it. In addition to this, I am also a very competitive person. I never quit on a puck, and I always work hard to be the best version of myself, whether in the classroom, weight room, or ice. Lastly, I would be a great addition to any program because I am a fun, outgoing person who is humble and hardworking. I was brought up the right way, and my parents have always emphasized being a leader and acting compassionately towards others. These traits are what make me who I am, and a great candidate for your program! Thank you.
