Tyler Gordon 2021...Personal Statement
My goal in hockey is to play in college at the highest level possible while continuing my education. I have been playing hockey since I was five years old and work everyday to get better. I am a strong skater with great vision and I have a high hockey IQ. I am a leader both on and off the ice, having been an Alternate Captain for three of my Travel hockey seasons, as well as a Sophomore and Junior for my High School team. This season, I was selected to be Captain of my Travel team and my High School team. I made the Varsity High School team as a Freshman and was a starter at Center. What sets me apart from most players is my versatility. I can play every position on the ice at a high level. This season I will be playing RD/LD for my U18AA team, while playing Center on my Varsity High School team. I work hard in the classroom as well as on the ice. I have a +4.0 GPA in school and I'm part of the AP Scholars Program at Woodbridge Senior High School. My plan is to major in Construction Management or Civil Engineering in college and continue to play hockey while earning my degree.
