Personal Statement
My name is Jay Parmar and my goal is to play D1 college hockey. As a defenseman, I play a strong, 200 foot game and can play either side on defense. I win battles and make the first pass. I play for the North Jersey Avalanche 18U Premier, a AAA team. I am a team player and will do whatever it takes to win even if that means sacrificing my body. From the start of my hockey career to now, I have always been a leader. My teammates and coaches rely on me to lead the team both on and off the ice. Along with leadership, I am a very competitive person with a high compete level and work ethic. I will always give my best every time I step on the ice, in the gym, or at school. To further my game now, I focus on speed training. In school, I am a straight A student at Bergen Catholic High School, in Oradell, New Jersey. I am interested in biomedical engineering.
I challenge my self on and off the ice, and everyday strive to be better athletically and academically.
