My main goal is to get a 4-year degree in film, media production, or cinematography. I aim to maintain a 4.0 GPA throughout college. My academics are important to me and are my main priority. I would love to continue my hockey career in college at the intercollegiate or competitive club level. I am a great candidate for a competitive college level team because I am dedicated to giving 100%, during practice and games, as well as on and off the ice. Like many good leaders and hockey players, I strive to be selfless and put the team's needs above my own. My father was a career Air Force officer, and I have had the privilege to live and play hockey in several places around the world ( Okinawa, Japan, Spokane, WA, St. Louis, MO, BC, Canada). The adversity of having to move a lot has been hard because I had to leave teammates and friends. However, I have gained friends for life and we share our love for hockey. This experience has taught me resiliency which I can use in the college athletic and academic environments. In addition to my achievements in hockey, I have been on the varsity golf team and a member of the cross country team since I was a freshman. Thank you very much for your time and consideration. - Brendan Petro
