Jacob Bennett '17 Recruiting Profile

Hello my name is Jacob Bennett and I am currently enrolled in Wenatchee High School. Since the beginning of the school year I have managed to maintain a 3.9  GPA.  I am currently playing for the Wenatchee Wolves. We are a U-18 team playing in the NAPHL and the NPHL. 

last season season ended well,  22 goals and 20 assist in 45 games. I played power forward and defense. This year I am focusing on becoming a better defenseman. As of right now I have accumulated 10 assists which is combined between both leagues. We will be playing 65 regular season games with additional playoff games. 

My ultimate goal is to play in the USHL. However, I am taking a realistic approach to achieving that goal by working my way to that level. I have a passion for hockey, but I am making sure that I  have a back up plan. My ambitions are to be in an academic setting the allows me to play hockey and strive to pursue an engineering degree. With that being said I am aware of the possibility of changing my college major to something else as I mature and am able to focus on what I want to do for the rest of my life.

I have an excellent sense of humor and get along with everyone very easily.  Since I have become a part of this hockey team I have realized some of the talent that I possess and my confidence has increased. I also believe that humility, integrity, work ethic, accountability and perseverance are the key to success. I would like to conclude that one of my most important character traits is being able to maintain a positive attitude throughout my day to day life.
