My name is Jack Ryan, and throughout my whole life, I have been an athlete. I have tried any sport I can get my hands on from basketball to tennis to water polo. Most sports the basics came quickly, lacrosse proved to be a challenge and it pushed me. The challenge is what made me fall in love with lacrosse.
I always set my goals higher than those around me to help myself grow as well as my teammates. I don't feel satisfied until I am convinced I have peaked the hill and am ready for the next. I learned this and so much more about myself through my journey as a lacrosse player. It has encompassed my greatest triumphs as well as my lowest lows. In the opening game of the 2017-18 season, I suffered a dislocated shoulder and was benched for eight months post-surgery. Returning weaker and out of practice scared me yet I proceeded to compete in my most successful season of lacrosse. Placing Second in league fourth in NCS as well as shutting down some of the toughest players of my career.
