Personal Statement
I started playing lacrosse seven years ago when my cousins introduced me to the sport. Since then, I have played year round to keep my skills at a high level and to improve constantly. In addition, this past year I started training in the gym during the off season and my free time. My goal was to become a better and stronger athlete. I also significantly altered my diet and I now eat clean in order to stay healthy and competitive. I will continue with this physical and nutritional program as it has improved my athletic ability and overall endurance.
At the beginning of my freshmen year in high school my family and I moved from Colorado to California. I was excited about the move but it was a very challenging experience. I didn't know a soul in California. I had to start over and prove myself both in the classroom and on the field. I did it and and I am a better person for it. This life experience helped me grow as a person and as an athlete. I remained positive and persevered through various club and high school team tryouts. I built new friendships and became a key player on my team. Through these experiences, I learned that family is everything. Without their support and encouragement, I wouldn't be who or where I am today.
I am searching for a well matched school that will also support my academic and athletic endeavors. I believe I have the skills to compete at the college level. My dedication and work ethic will show both in the classroom and on the field. I look forward to this next chapter of my life!
