Athletic versatility, reliable hard effort (and the resulting performance on the field), and "team above all" attitude are the attributes that define me and what I bring to the college program that's the right fit for me. My coach calls me the team "utility knife" as my LSM and deep defense skills, combined with my athleticism, easily translate to midfielder and even face-off duties as needed. I've been told that I'm a natural defenseman, and my instincts and resourcefulness make me an asset that my goalies prefer to have in front of them on the field. I work every day to understand the game and its strategies better, to anticipate and react to make the smartest plays possible. I've played with different club teams for the same reason, to adapt to different play styles and learn various approaches (all to make me a more multi-faceted player). The athletic profile test says I'm "a rebel who does things your own way", but that's not me. I found lacrosse later than my fellow players, and I've spent my few years of experience soaking up all the knowledge and play strategy that I can, to follow wherever my coaches lead, to help create an impenetrable defense for my team. Though I love the long-pole score, I'm a strategic defensive team player, not a player that has to stand out as a star. My goal is to find the right college program fit, pairing a solid academic foundation with a competitive lacrosse team in search of a dedicated, team-focused contributor to strengthen their defense.
