Personal Statement
My name is Dalton Goodale. I am a Senior at Lewis Palmer High School, where I am a starter at attack on the varsity high school lacrosse team. Lewis Palmer High School competes at the highest lacrosse high school level in Colorado, which is 5A. I have played lacrosse for nine years, since I was in third grade, at the positions of attack and middie. As you can see in my film, I can play with both hands equally because I am ambidextrous. This is a key characteristic that sets me apart from most lacrosse players. Another quality that I have is how I see the field because I have played both positions of attack and middie. Due to my versatility, I not only score goals, but feed my teammates often. I am very coachable and most of my coaches have told me how quickly I apply coaching instruction. I want to attend a college where I will be challenged academically and play competitive lacrosse. I am a good student athlete who works hard on and off the field. I am a team player and I love to play lacrosse.
I have competed in many tournaments during my youth and high school lacrosse experience including: The Denver Shootout, Adrenaline Western Shootout, Pumpkin Shootout, The Harvest Fall Festival, Vail Shootout, Inside Lacrosse Invitational, and FLG In 3D. In my nine years of experience, I have played year around, including five seasons of box lacrosse. I have attended several box clinics, one that was coached by Matt Brown. I also attended camps hosted by Denver University Staff, 3D Coaches, and Kyle Harrison. I have played seven seasons of Thunderbolts Lacrosse, which was coached by the Air Force coaches to include; Coach Eric Seremet, Coach Bill Wilson, Coach Rob Koehler, Coach Fred Acee, Coach David Cohn, Coach Dan Carson, and Coach Tristen Newark. I also played a season with High Altitude Lacrosse Organization (HALO) with Colorado College coaches; Coach Sean Woods, Coach Frank Abruzzini, and Coach Nic Bevacqua. I just played a box season with Colorado State University Pueblo coaches; Coach Nic Bevacqua and Coach Jami Modaffari. Another club team I play with is Colorado Fire coached by Nate Watkins
Watching my brother go through this process has inspired me to keep working hard and get to the next level.
