Personal Statement
My freshman year I began playing lacrosse after some friends and my history teacher convinced me. I had played lacrosse for a short time as a little kid but quit after a year or so. I went into my freshman year lacrosse season with the goal to have fun with my friends and came out with the goal of being the best and pushing myself to the next level. Although I have only been playing lacrosse for not even 2 years yet and I have become a varsity level player and am now competing on the club level. Unlike many people who play this sport, I have only been playing for a little amount of time. I have viewed this as a challenge and have continued to push myself to be the best. I have been through ups and downs including my sophomore year where I struggled with my grades in the first semester due to personal issues. I have comeback from all these setbacks and have continued to push myself to where I can be a main threat on the field as well not being a liability in the classroom. I have shown growth and continue to show growth. I have come a long way from when I started and strive to continue to do one thing, work hard day in and day out. I want to be the best and work towards building a better me everyday.
