I am a dedicated, college bound student athlete. Sports have been a part of who I am since pre-school and are something I am passionate about and excited to continue into my college career. I grew up playing soccer, but later in elementary school I fell in love with lacrosse. Family, academic, sports and scouting are all interconnected aspects of my identity. At home, I come from a family where I am the second of three children. My siblings and I, along with our parents support one another and strive to keep each member happy and thriving. For me, this means having my family cheering on the sidelines, helping me study for important school exams and attending various scouting and school activities. Family is not just the people I share a home with, I make a point of getting to know my teammates, practicing a team spirit by helping be productive and perform as well as possible. I think that what makes me stand out the most is that I do the little things to help the team and have practice run smoothly by practicing outside of team meetings, making sure water jugs are full, brought out and put away, chasing balls and ball hunting so we can keep playing, and communicating with coaches. This atmosphere is further extended into my school through my academic enthusiasm and participation in clubs that make our school and community better such as student council and paws for a cause (a group that volunteers and advocates for animals). I maintain honor roll status, explore advanced courses and devote plenty of time to study. As a Scout, I have been committed to my oaths and endeavors since Tigers, the youngest rank, through today as a Life Scout. I am currently perusing my requirements to reach the Eagle Scout rank. Being my best self is always my goal. To be my best self I dream of working in the veterinary or medical field after college, as a way of helping people and animals in a greater way than I can now. I am both dedicated and motivated, which I try to reflect in my school work, playing and scouting. I believe in mentally and physically challenging myself, and know continuing my journey as a student athlete is a big part of being successful in my future career and life. By participating in sports I can better connect with my school and more easily focus on cultivating my fullest academic potential. I regard family highly and therefore strive to belong to a collegiate team to treat like a family and win together while learning new things. Being recruited would help me achieve my goals and continue doing the things I love.
