Personal Statement
My goal in college is to continually increase my game. After playing lacrosse for just a year I have gradually increased my skill level every single day. I have always enjoyed sports and excelled at them (soccer, wrestling, football, baseball, ice hockey). Playing ice hockey for 6 years really allowed me to adapt quickly to the requirements of lacrosse and the different movements of the game. My college aspirations are to attend a 4 year college and play the sport I love, Lacrosse. My academics are at a high level, I take AP and honors classes so my grades are not a struggle for me. I am part of the National Honor Society as of this year. The way I differ from other recruits is my interest in the fundamentals of this game. I've been playing for little over a year and I have already had to step up as a leader on my high school team. Just last year the school decided to introduce a lacrosse team to our sports options and me along with many other of my schoolmates decided to join the team. I immediately took to the internet and former coaches in an attempt to turn myself into a lacrosse player. By the time the season came around i understood the game better than the rest of the team so I took the time after practice to teach anyone who wanted help and share what I knew. In the process I became a better player and a leader on the team. After the season, I attended lacrosse camps and joined a travel lacrosse team. Improving my game is an every day task for me. What ever college lacrosse team I play for will have someone with dedication, determination, and love for the game.
