Personal Statement
My name is Jason Roche, and I have been playing lacrosse for the last 6 years. My goal is to not only play lacrosse in college, but to give these next four years all I’ve got – physically and mentally. From the time I was in fifth grade, I have felt that excitement every time I hit the field, win a tough game, and played my heart out. I have always given it 100% out there, and strive to be a leader with the others on the team, support the others, and always want to learn from my coaches on how to improve myself on and off the field.
This past spring, I was a starting defender on varsity, and helped lead the team to its first Final Four appearance ever. I was also named Second Team All-County as a defense-man in Gwinnett County, Georgia. I am currently a 2020 Defense/LSM player and play for Buford High School varsity team and Atlanta Empire Lacrosse club team in Gwinnett County, Georgia. I have also played with various club teams including MadLax, LB3, Atlanta Empire and Blackhawks.
The ideal school for me will be one that will enable me to excel both academically and athletically. While sports are important, I do take my classes just as seriously, and hope to find the right school that can provide the right balance for me, with players and coaches that possess these same goals.
I’m ready to continue my lacrosse career at the next level!
