Personal Statement
I started playing lacrosse in the 7th Grade, and I've been in love with the sport since. I want to go as far as I can with it, and I honestly couldn't imagine my life without lacrosse. I had the opportunity to start my high school lacrosse career on the varsity team at Fork Union Military Academy, so I had to learn to be a verbal leader on the field early on. Now going into my Junior year, I would say, as a goalie, that I'm very comfortable on the field and have great knowledge and recognition of a lot of the aspects of the sport. Throughout my journey in lacrosse, I've proven to myself and to others around me that I can accomplish anything I work hard for, and put my mind to. I've learned to become a leader and step up when needed, also how to lead by example so I can lead through my actions, not just my words.
I have attended 5 different schools in the last 4 years due to my mothers line of work in the federal government. It hasn't been the easiest journey, but it has taught me how to adapt to new situations and make the best with what I have. I believe no matter where I am my goals will always stay the same. I want to get better everyday and be able to compete on the next level. I love the feeling of working hard and then being able to see my improvement on the field. I have a big heart for lacrosse, and I have a very good IQ for the game.
