Like most athletes competing to play college sports, I started pretty early on. My highly anticipated lacrosse debut began at age 6. Anticipated because I was groomed to the game by my successors. Groomed by example, from success and failure combined. I could read plays and understand the concepts well before finishing first grade. I played for a well known travel program in the ten and under division, I was 6. By far the youngest and smallest on the team, I dominated at attack even back than. I knew I was different than my teammates. I knew I was being watched. The Kesselring name brought much attention to me. I was the youngest of my parents four boys. All of my brothers played lacrosse, it was all I knew. Watching them and learning from my dad, separated me from my peers. The Kesselring boys bled the game and everyone knew it. I carried my stick literally everywhere, I was that kid. It was my normalcy. Wall ball and cradles all day everyday, its what I did, what we all did. What I think makes me stand out is that fact that I see the game extremely well. I anticipate plays and set my teammates up for success. Of course I like to rack up points, we all do, but I am more about the success of my team, then anything else. I guarantee that any of my prior coaches through all my lacrosse career would agree with that statement 100%. I work hard for both my success and that of my teammates. I admire my brother, Gavin Kesselring, and I think my character is very much like his. He has is a hardworking, probably the most humble player that I have ever watched play the game. I have witnessed his determination to help his team earn two national championships and that is ultimately the goal in college lacrosse, to win. We all want that ring, so what makes me so special? My style, I am unique, just watch!
