Personal Statement

I finished my second season playing Varsity Lacrosse with New Trier High School. I had 46 goals, 23 assists, 146 ground balls, and won 85% of my face-offs. I was voted All-American and All-State. I was named MVP of the team and voted Team Captain for next year. I hold our school season ground ball record and need just 16 ground balls next year to hold my school's career ground ball record. We just won the state championship which we headed into ranked #1. I finished my junior academic year strong, and have a 32 on my ACT.
I played Varsity lacrosse my sophmore year achieving second team all conference. I finished the year leading my team in ground balls with 84. I also had 19 goals and 5 assists, and won 85% of my face offs.
I am a very good all around midfielder. I can play defence, get ground balls, score, and find the open man for an assist. I am also a very talented face off man. I won a majority of my face offs, many of which led to fast breaks and scoring opportunities. I also played on our man down team for a majority of the year. I can shoot on the run righty and lefty and have a very good shot. I am very quick and fast enough to keep up with anyone on the lacrosse field.
I am competitive and hard working. I have been raised to think quickly and, as one of six children, have learned responsibility and dependability.
I am looking for a good school academically with a competitive lacrosse program. Other than that I am open to all different types of schools.
