Personal Statement
Hello Coaches! My name is Mitchell Voglewede from the graduating class of 2022. I am currently attending Bishop Dwenger High School in Fort Wayne, IN. Thanks for your interest in me!
I had been playing hockey since I was old enough to walk. In high school, I had achieved a National Championship in Canada and a 1A State Championship. In both scoring the game-winning goals from the starting defensive position. Currently, I play football on special teams, OLB, and likely RB. In lacrosse, I started as a freshman on varsity as an attackman and also played midfield. I have been playing lacrosse for six years in total, always leading my team in stats.
In school, I am constantly on the Honor Roll or High Honors. Academics are of the utmost importance to me. I have a 3.413 GPA and I am currently enrolled in Honors classes. I hope to be partnered with a college that meets the needs of my academics, athletics, which also develops me into a better man. I plan on studying in the business industry.
What makes me stand apart from other applicants, has been stated by all my coaches, is that I am a very coachable athlete. Also, they stated that I learn and apply my skills quickly while not being told repetitively...and lastly, I always give 110% on and off the field every time.
