Personal Statement

    My name is Ash Hoelscher, and I am a Senior at Ankeny HIgh School in Ankeny, Iowa. I've been playing on Ankeny Thunder's varsity lacrosse team since 8th grade. My passion for lacrosse has pushed me to obtain a GPA of at least 3.0. I aspire to play lacrosse at the highest level possible and being from Iowa, I realize I am at a disadvantage recruiting wise but, I am willing to do anything I can to continue playing lacrosse at the highest level possible.

    Coaches on my team have recognized me for the passion and love I have for the game and my team. I show a versatile game that proves I can dodge, score, and feed my teammates while dominating the Face Off X. This season I also lead my team in groundballs which shows I am able to make myself present on both sides of the field.
