Growing up playing lacrosse, I always just saw it as a way to spend time with my friends and have fun with the sport that I love. Once I began to reach higher levels of the game I matured and came to understand the amount of work and time that goes into being successful and improving my game. Still, I have always kept academics at the forefront of my pursuits. Being able to balance my academics, athletics, and social life as well as other responsibilities has always come naturally to me. Being able to enjoy my time in high school while still working hard on and off the field has always been my priority.
Being recognized for my athletic and academic achievements is something I am proud of, as I hold myself to very high standards. Last year, I finished the season as an All-Met Honorable Mention, 1st Team All-County, and a 4.56 weighted GPA. With all of the time that I put in to academics and athletics, I still find ways to enjoy my time as a high schooler. I like hanging out with my friends, going fishing, playing basketball in our neighborhood park, and going out to eat. In years soon to come, I plan to attend a college that will challenge me to continue to grow as a student and an athlete.
