Jared Scheinberg '21 Recruiting Profile

I love competition, whether it’s on the field, in the classroom or even the best two out of three in Rock, Paper, Scissors.  I thought I had accomplished a lot as a 14 year old freshman starter on my high school varsity team, but my sophomore year was truly one of the best experiences of my life.  I was named  to both the All-County and All-Division teams in Montgomery County and my team won both the division and sectional championships.  We were ranked in the Top 10 teams in the DC area by the Washington Post.

My love of the game has carried over to my club team (MDX-Revolution 2021 Elite) and I’ve earned All-Star selections in the 2018 LaxFed Mid-Atlantic Invitational, 2018 Trilogy Gettysburg and 2019 Lava Lax.  I spent my off-season focusing on film study and weight and speed training and it made a big difference in my playing. Through hard work, I’ve become bigger, stronger and faster.   I’m also very proud of the fact that many coaches throughout my lacrosse career have called me “very coachable.”  I love hanging with my teammates and shooting hoops and hitting golf balls when I’m not on the field.

I attend a nationally ranked high school and I am taking a rigorous course load of AP and Honors classes.  My current GPA is 3.74 (4.29 weighted).  I plan to study business in college and I'm looking for a school that blends strong academics and social opportunities with an athletics tradition and culture.
