Personal Statement
Upon looking over my profile I noticed that my Personal Statement was lacking the depth it warrants. Previously, I had mentioned my School (Westwood High School, MA), my grade (11th), and my position (Midfield). I also talked about the first time I picked up a lacrosse ball (4th Grade). Although the beginning of my lacrosse career was very important in growing my love of the game, the last two years have done more in developing me into a desirable lacrosse recruit than the five years prior. In these past two years I have done more than just hit the wall with my left hand and tune my on the run shooting— as I have done both all seven years. I have developed the mental part of my game by better understanding offenses and defenses. And I have become a better teammate and coachable player through my constant hard work, hustle and commitment to the game.
In lacrosse communication is key; I feel that it is very important to communicate on the field so that everyone is on the same page. In many ways, I feel the same way about school; therefore it is only fitting that my favorite subject is English. I intend to study business or Econ in college because, along with being good at math, I like to work with people and study their behavior. I am very open to many different types of colleges, but I would prefer to stay closer to the Northeast if possible.
