Personal Statement

I’m an attackman, Class of 2019, from Bloomfield Hills, MI with over 9 years of playing lacrosse.  My coaches have told me I have soft hands, am a strong finisher, possess a very high Lax IQ, and am tough as nails.

I was a starter on both the Brother Rice Catholic High School Varsity Orange and JV teams.  I was the leading goal scorer with 44 goals and 11 assists in 13 games during my 2017 sophomore season on Varsity Orange.  We finished the season with a record of 12-1, our only loss was to Victor, NY.  During my 2016 freshman season, we finished as Catholic League JV champs going undefeated.  In addition to lacrosse, I also ran for the Brother Rice Varsity Cross Country team, earning varsity letters my freshman and sophomore years.  The cross country team finished 3rd in the state of Michigan in 2016.  My senior year I co-founded the Brother Rice Mountain Biking Team and finished our inaugural season as the top rider on the varsity team.

I currently have a 3.33 GPA (unweighted) and have been on the A/B Honor Roll each quarter.

My personal motto is “No Shortcuts.”  I am seeking a school where I can be challenged and succeed in the classroom.  I am looking to become part of a top lacrosse program where I can play at the highest level possible and make a contribution.  I chose Brother Rice for those reasons.

My ideal college lacrosse experience is one where I am able to make a substantial contribution to achieving the team's goals during my years playing.  I am willing to do the work necessary.  I am one of the first to practices and always the last to leave.  In my spare time, I’m putting in the extra work shooting, conditioning, etc.  I balance athletics with academics and service to my community.  I know what I need to do to achieve my dreams of playing lacrosse in college and have a successful career beyond college while giving back to the sport I love.
