R. Hollis Erskine '21 Recruiting Profile

When I was growing up as a kid, I was jumping between sports trying to find the right one for me. After trying baseball, cross country, and hockey, I knew those sports were not for me. Then my parents signed me up to play lacrosse for Hudson. Eight years later, I  am still playing and I still love it. As a faceoff specialist, I love being dominant on the X. It is just me and my opponent going at it. I am giving it my all and he is as well. When I come up with the ball after a hard grind, it is the best feeling knowing that I outworked, out-classed, and beat my opponent.

The single most important part of my high school carreer was getting beat 13-1 at the X. This was during my sophomore season during a playoff game, I just could not beat my opponent. We ended up losing the game. That summer I worked harder then I had ever done before. I never wanted to feel that way again.
