Personal Statement
What I have learned through lacrosse over the past nine years is no matter how down you are there is always a way to come back to the top. During the downtimes, is when you truly learn the most about yourself, I have found the internal strength to stand up, learn from the past and work even harder to be successful in the present and future. I have learned this through lacrosse, my education, and my journey to achieve my 2nd Degree Black Belt in karate at the age of 14.
I started lacrosse as a defensive player and over the years I have worked on my skills and now apply all the skills I have learned as a defensive player to the position of LSM, which I enjoy playing LSM and defensive positions.
Lacrosse has helped me to have faith in my team. Knowing my team has my back and I have theirs on and off the field, many of my team members I consider my brothers. Having close connections with your team increases the ability of the team to have a successful season. I learned when selected as the JV captain, these relationships are key to having a strong team, through the lows and the highs.
I continue to attend defensive camps and clinics to learn from the best defensive and LSM players in the world. There is always room for improvement in all we do. I believe with lots of practices, questions, direction, and dedication, I will continue to grow and develop as a lacrosse player. Over the past nine years, I have come to enjoy playing the sport more than ever and I am ready for the next level! I am dedicated to lacrosse, my team, and my coaches.
