Personal Statement
Being awarded the captain spot on my team at the end of my sophomore year has been the highlight of my high school career so far. I feel I have grown as a person the most throughout my career after this moment on and off the field. This has made me realize academics play a major roll in a schools acceptance policy, which has helped encourage me to keep up my good grades in school. It has also helped me re-focus on improving my skills to become a great midfielder who is able to play at the college level.
I have been fortunate enough to learn the value of teamwork, commitment, leadership, and sacrifice through the adversity the teams I've played for have gone through. I've been learning these lessons my whole life, even when I was only 9 years old when I first became interested in lacrosse. Over my years of playing this sport I have generated many academic goals for myself too. And I am looking for a school that not only fits me athletically, but academically too. I believe I have more then just the talent to compete for a college team, but the leadership and great work ethic to impact your program right away. As a four year varsity player and 2 time captain I know I have what it takes to play and be a leader on your team.
