I have been playing lacrosse since I was 9 years old and have had many fun, exciting, and memorable moments. One of those moments was my freshman year when I was brought up to dress on a very skilled varsity squad. I received playing time and we made it into the playoffs, which really boosted my confidence as a lacrosse player going forward.
In my sophomore year I feel that I grew as an athlete and began to excel at my game. I started varsity as a sophomore and I could tell my skills and athleticism had enabled me to compete at a high level against the upper classmen. It was at this point that I felt I have what it takes to play at the college level and I began working towards that goal.
The cancellation of my junior year lacrosse season due to Covid was disappointing. I really felt this would be a breakout year and I was prepared and ready to play a big leadership role for the team. Through this very challenging year, I have learned to value the game and the importance of work ethic and leadership. I believe leading a team is something very special and is something I am looking forward to in my senior year.
As I begin planning for college, I am searching for a program that is a good fit for me, on and off the field. I believe that to play at the college level you must have very good skills and experience, but I also believe that work ethic, leadership, teamwork, and determination to win are important as well. I am a three-sport athlete, selected to be Captain by my teammates in multiple sports at multiple levels. I work hard in personal training sessions, the weight room, and the classroom.
I am confident that I will be a good fit and contribute to any college lacrosse program and am excited to go through this process.
