Keegan Maxwell '17 Recruiting Profile

My name is Keegan Maxwell. I'm a Senior at Center Moriches High School. I'm currently a starting Varsity Attackman. I was awarded the 2017, 2016 and 2015 Suffolk County High School Lacrosse All-County All-Division Award and 2017 Academic All American.  I could not have received these awards without my teammates.   I believe in a strong work ethic. I stay focused on being a leader on and off the field. I know how important academics are and I want to give myself every opportunity to succeed.  I believe everyone has something they can improve upon so I welcome criticism and use it to become a stronger player.  Over the last several years I had to work harder on the field because of my size.  I decided that I would work and focus on the things I could control which were my stick skills, speed and agility and the breakdown of the game as well as my studies.  By doing this, I've given myself an amazing opportunity.  I have grown so much over the past year and feel that things are finally falling into place.  With that being said, I know that if given the chance, I will be a player that contributes to a team in a positive way.  Being part of a team is a great feeling and I hope to continue playing lacrosse in college while getting the best possible education.  One of my favorite quotes by Bill Walton.....It's not how big you are .....it's how big you play!!!
