Hello everyone my name is Erik Dickerson. I began playing lacrosse as a freshman in high school and i loved it ever since. I started playing my freshman year and just like any new player didn't know much about the game but i was very eager and determined to learn more and get better at it. I played on my varsity team as a freshman as a D-Midi because i have very good feet and played defense really well and i was still sharpening my stick skills. I started practicing and training everyday so that my sophomore year i could play some offense as well as defense. My sophomore year we had many new players and were going to have a JV and Varsity team. The JV coach asked that i play JV for their season and then go back to Varsity for the rest of their season so that's what i did. I played 10 games at JV and then 6 at varsity 5 regular season and then our playoff game. My skills had improved a lot after my JV season and improved even more after my Varsity season. I then joined a travel team, Hudson Valley Express which also helped me to add a few notches of improvement to my game. I am now a Junior and have been practicing ever since i started playing lacrosse and i have been trying to achieve my full potential which i feel i have not reached yet. I feel that theirs always room to improve and their always room to keep training. One of my biggest goals would be to play in the MLL and be one of the greats just like a Paul Rabil. My dream is to go play at Ohio State and be a starter and be known by many as a very good player, a team player, a fun player to watch and just a player that people would love to cheer for and watch play. I just love the whole vibe from Ohio State and they are not a bad team either. My grades are not bad i am currently at an 80 average but my grades will definitely go up during the school year. I don't do many other activities other then sports when i'm not at school, my hobbies are basically playing sports and staying in shape. My aspirations are to go to college, play lacrosse as long as everything goes well, such as not getting a very bad injury and get a good education and then in the long run get a good job and live happy.
