Personal Statement
My name is Jonathan Zylinsky and i'm a Junior at Holland Patent High School, Holland Patent NY and I will graduate in 2023. In the fall of 2018 i was inducted into National Junior Honor Society . Being accepted into the National Junior Honor Society is based on grades, volunteering, and community service. As a Junior i'm in advanced placement courses and taking college courses at Mohawk Valley Community College. My current Grade point average is a 90. I'm a multi sport athlete, playing lacrosse, football, and basketball. I enjoy all the sports that i've played, however lacrosse is my favorite. I've been playing lacrosse for 9 years for school and various club teams.. As a 8th grader i was asked to play on our school Varsity Team. In order to play I had to pass a physical fitness test and i met this expectation.. I was the only eighth grader to move up to Varsity and I started every game.. My main position was midfielder and faceoff, however i also played attack.. I have great stick skills and able to utilize both hands.. Playing Varsity Lacrosse was a challenge and an accomplishment... I received the award of Rookie of the Year and 2nd Team Tri-Valley All Star.. In the Summer of 2019 I was asked to play on Rhino Select International Team. In spring of 2020 I was planning on playing for our Varsity Team with the goal of First Team All Star, however COVID came and we didn't have a season. In spring 2021 I continue to play and achieved my goal as midfielder in 1st Team All Tri-Valley. The season of 2022 I was awarded 1st team all tri-valley midfielder, I had 50 goals and 40 assists as a Junior and averaged 6.76 points per game. Again i was asked to play for Rhino Select International Team. I'm continuing to play for the Club Lacrosse for Salt Kings and Varsity program for my High School. I have acquired the single season points record with 88 points. I also have the career points record with 176 points.
In my Senior year I plan to be inducted into National Honor Society, have Advanced Diploma, and graduate with first of college courses. My goal is to play lacrosse in college and hope that my hard work and dedication will help me achieve my goals. I am a focused, coachable, and team player that wants to play at my highest potential. I have strength and endurance and will sacrifice my self for the team.
