Personal Statement

SPRING 2016 - NASSAU COMMUNITY COLLEGE - Attack and 3.2 GPA

FALL 2015 - TOWSON UNIVERSITY LACROSSE CLUB - Starting Midfield and 3.2 GPA

2015 VARSITY SEASON - 40 Points through 16 games as starting two-way Midfield at Lynbrook HS.

  • "Player of the Game" in Nassau County Semi-Finals
  •  Academic All-Conference honors
  • Contributed 4 goals and 5 assists in the County Class B playoffs

2014 VARSITY SEASON - Starting two-way Midfield for Long Island Class B Champions.  NY STATE PLAYOFF HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Scored in every round of the NYSPHSAA playoffs, including:
  • NY State Semifinal against Yorktown
  • Long Island Championship victory over Rocky Point
  • 2 goal, 1 assist game against Manhasset for the Nassau County Championship.

Over the past 3 seasons, I have been a contributing member to teams that have lost a combined 1 regular season game.

I love lacrosse and teamwork, and work very hard on my game in-season and during the off-season.  Three-year Varsity player at Lynbrook High School.  Two-year starting midfielder with strong performances in deep NY State playoff runs both seasons.

Worked on offensive skills as starting Attack for my club team "Be The Best", and L.I. Junior Lizards, coached by Todd Esposito, former coach of the MLL's Long Island Lizards.  We competed in the Elite Division at some of the premier events on the east coast, battling teams like FCA, Mesa Fresh, 3D Select, Baltimore Crabs and Leading Edge.  Won AA Division championships at Patriot Games and L.I. Laxfest and were runners up at Lehigh.

I am a fast play maker, goal scorer and feeder with a high lacrosse IQ.  I pride myself on being a very aggressive rider and having very strong lefty & righty stick skills.  Playing point guard and shooting guard in basketball has been a great complement to developing my play making skills in lacrosse.

Academically, I have a cumulative 3.4 GPA through high school and into my first year of college.  I am involved in various children's causes, reading and playing with "special needs" children, volunteer coaching for PAL lacrosse and CYO basketball, and fundraising for organizations such as the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

I am leaning towards pursuing a degree in elementary and special education, and hope to continue playing college lacrosse where I fit in the best, at the highest level possible.
