I started playing lacrosse in kindergarten as a way to stay active; I was definitely not a stand out, in fact I used to be pretty uncoordinated. However as I got a little older, I grew to love the competitive and physical nature of the sport and eventually wanted to learn as much as possible about it, so I set out to become the best player I could be. Playing a defensive role on my team has taught me to be vocal and to be a strong leader.
I hope to go to a school that will provide me with a quality education and will hopefully allow me to play lacrosse at a high level. I feel as though I could be very valuable to any program and will always work to make the team better.
Being home this past spring challenged me because, like so many others, I lost my spring season. This extra "free time" gave me the opportunity to develop myself more physically, and learn some new life skills. In the past few months, I picked up carpentry and have really grown to love building things. I even began selling some of my work and making a profit doing something I enjoy.
My goal is to go to a college that will challenge me athletically and academically and make me a better person and player.
