I started playing lacrosse and wrestling in middle school. It took a lot to convince myself to try a new thing but learning the sports came quickly when I had support from my teammates, friends and coaches. Qver the years I have taught myself that it takes motivation and commitment for me to enjoy something. This past year the motivation and commitment has paid off in helping me and my long time club teammates, parents and coaches put together a first time Varsity Lacrosse team at TC Roberson High school. My ability to help create a first ever lacrosse team shows my passion for this sport and dedication. Although we were a first year team it didn't feel that way when we almost made it to regionals off a wild card. I learned that when I push myself, others feel inspired as well and the chemistry in a team gets strong. I also learned when I don't work as hard as I'm capable of things don't pay off as well academically and physically. I taught myself that I need to work harder on the field and off the field in order to get better so next year we will have a better chance of making regionals and academically I'll have a better chance of achieving higher grades.
