Personal Statement
Tell coaches about your collegiate goals and aspirations.
My long-term aspiration is to either own my own business or work in a computer technology environment. Lacrosse is what keeps me motivated and focused. I would love to be in a position where my younger siblings look to me for help with academics and lacrosse. I have a desire to better myself and learn everything there is to know about owning and running a business. I would love to attend a school with a very competitive athletic program and a prestige academic reputation. I am currently competing in a highly competitive travel organization and play for my high school . I look forward to helping the high school team have a successful season.
What makes you a good candidate for their team?--
I consider myself a good leader. I have had to work extra hard to learn and play the game. My deafness has never stopped me from learning plays or going out to the field and giving everything I have, whether at practice or in games. I will work hard to overcome any obstacles and I am always looking for ways to improve my game so it benefits not just me but also the team.
What makes you different from other recruits in character, athletics, and academics?--
My drive to become successful is evident. I am always looking for ways to improve both academically and in lacrosse. I am selfless and understand that in lacrosse it’s a team effort and will always make decisions based on what is best for the team. In academics, I am committed to learning as much as I can. I do not quit and when I set my mind to do something I can be very determined and driven.
