Personal Statement

Success is measured in many ways by different people.  To me, success is achieved when you work hard, make mistakes, learn, and then work harder and smarter to reach a goal.  My goals for success include attending an accredited college where I can obtain a degree in Physical Therapy while also pursuing my passion of lacrosse by playing at a college level.

Through playing competitive lacrosse for the past seven years, I have learned a lot about the game.  Lacrosse has taught me about myself and what it takes to achieve goals on and off the field.  Through playing, I have come to realize that character, academics, and dedication to the improvement of my individual abilities are all equally important.  It is this understanding, along with my strong Christian and family values, that make me an excellent candidate for any college lacrosse program.

I believe I stand out on the field, not only for my strong stick handling skills, speed, and agility, but because I understand and promote the importance of being a team rather than an individual player.  In addition, I look for opportunities to mentor or assist other players as needed, as well as constantly look for opportunities and suggestions for personal growth.  I live and breathe lacrosse, and have adapted my lifestyle so that I am capable of performing at my best.  I am motivated, determined,  and have a no-quit attitude.  I play a competitive and physical game, but I also play smart.  I look for ways to outplay and outsmart my opponents in order to assist and advance my team.

In conclusion, I feel I would be a solid addition to any college, as both a student and lacrosse player.  I know that my road to success will not be easy, so I’m ready to play hard!

  • Congratulations! US Lax Events would like to invite you to participate in the 2015 Midwest Elite Top 80! US Lax Events has received a nomination from your high school or club coach. The Midwest Elite Top 80 will take place on November 21st and 22nd at Grand Park, just outside of Indianapolis. Please follow the link below to secure a spot in the Showcase. After a successful first year, the Midwest Elite Top 80 will consist of 80 players from each graduating class (2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020). Players will randomly be placed on teams and will play 4 games over the two-day event. Each player will be evaluated by college coaches in attendance and have the chance to be selected to the All-Star game. A meet-and-greet will be held with all college coaches in attendance during the event. Last year, the Midwest Elite Top 80 had over 30 coaches in attendance. Expect this list to grow even bigger this year. Some of the coaches that were in attendance last year included Virginia, Loyola, Marquette, Detroit, Fairfield, Binghamton, Siena, Salisbury, Seton Hill, Carthage, Ohio Wesleyan, Berry, Concordia, Hanover, Thiel, Stevens, Mount St. Joe’s and many more. A full list of coaches that attended in 2014 can be viewed on the Top 80 website.

  • Blue Chip 225
  • Congratulations! One of your son's coaches has recommended him for invitation to the Blue Chip 225 Recruiting Showcase held at University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He has been recommended for one of our two divisions of college potential players: Varsity for college level athletes, and Elite for athletes who have the potential to play at a top 20 Division I school. Both divisions offer outstanding game based recruiting showcase experience before an array of college coaches; all Blue Chip games are on video for college coach review for a year, and our all star games are streamed live. We find that recruits connect with college coaches at the same rate in both divisions. We will be sending an invitation by email and, if your coach's recommendation included your address, a letter to your son with an individual invitation code along with registration instructions. If your coach does not have your mail address, please drop us a note at [email protected], and we will follow up with a hard copy of your son's invitation. We hope that he will join us at Blue Chip 225. I'm confident that he will have a great time. Please don't hesitate to contact me at [email protected] if you have any questions. Sincerely, Ted Spencer, Director

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
