Patrick Lamirande '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Patrick Lamirande and playing college-level lacrosse has been a long-time goal for me. If I had to summarize my key lacrosse skills, they would be creating turnovers, dodging hard to goal, ground balls and making assists.  

I like mixing it up with my opponents, pulling out ground balls and taking it back down the field to get us back on offense.  I mention dodging because I am good at rolling both left and right around my opponents and ripping a hard shot.  Finding open teammates for assists so they can score is also something I try to do a lot. Besides the specific lacrosse skills, I also do not shy away from hard work and am full of grit.  I put team priorities before mine and a am a leader, especially when it comes to motivating my teammates.

Off the field, I am a good student.  Doing well in school is important and getting good grades is a priority.  I am looking to major in business and finance with a focus on land development in college.  I am also a solid wrestler and been on the varsity wrestling team since freshman year.  I love snowboarding and was on a snowboarding team during middle school. I competed in the USASA Snowboarding Nationals held at Copper Mountain in Colorado for the Slope Style and Rail Jam events, which was a very cool experience.  As of right now I only snowboard for fun and share my snowboarding skills as an instructor at a local near-by mountain resort.

All in all, I am a motivated, well-rounded student athlete who loves lacrosse. I am sure you’ll value the skills I can bring to your team along with a good attitude.
