Personal Statement
I have been playing lacrosse for 7 years. Before lacrosse, I was playing baseball and wanted to try something new. I switched over to lacrosse and fell in love with the fast-paced game. As I continue to play, I work to push myself and teammates, club and high school, to get better and give 100% in our drills and games. For the past three years, I have been a starting Midfielder for my club team, (HEADstrong LV) and also started for my High School Varsity team as a freshman. Outside of lacrosse, I play varsity football. I am a member of the SADD Club and the Future Business Leaders of America Club.
I like to think of myself as a leader with my actions not so much my voice or diction. In the offseason, I have been asked by my high school to mentor our youth programs and help coach. In addition to telling a younger player to change what he/she is doing, I show them the correct way to do it so they can learn and improve.
I hope that I can play lacrosse as long as possible and then hopefully coach a team after my playing time runs out. I love the game and it has already affected my life very much so I would like to give back as much as I can.
