Personal Statement
I want to serve my country and will be pursuing both ROTC and Service Academy options. This is very important to me so the college I will be trying to match to for lacrosse will need to fit this requirement by allowing me to also do this.
I will be getting a bachelors in engineering [mechanical or civil], so the lacrosse program I match with will have to allow that degree pursuit. Also, if the school I match with is D3 or D2, the engineering program must be accredited.
I work part time during the school year and full time in the summer in construction [mechanical, electrical and PLC programming] to support myself and have been doing this for a little over a year.
I am a crew leader for Habitat for Humanity building single and single and a half homes in West Virginia. I am active in church and church volunteer work, and I am responsible for playing the music at diocese events.
My coaches say the greatest asset I bring to their teams is leadership - I usually play the whole game and run the defense from the field with guidance from the coach. I am quick, always improving, and am never satisfied with my level of lacrosse achievements or lacrosse IQ. I understand that the coach is the always the boss, but I expect to be able to have input if I have something to add from being on the field.
